Applying To Our Graduate Program
What are the prerequisites?
Students applying for admission to our programs are generally expected to have at least a "B" average on undergraduate coursework.
- MS in Agricultural Economics (thesis and non-thesis), or Natural Resource Economics (thesis) prerequisites:
» Intermediate Microeconomics Theory (3 hours)
» Intermediate Macroeconomics Theory (3 hours)
» Statistics (6 hours)
» Calculus (3 hours)
- Dual MS/MBA Program
» prerequisite - Calculus (3 hours)
» recommended background - Intermediate Microeconomic Theory (3 hours)
» recommended background - Statistics (3-6 hours)
- Natural Resources PhD with concentration in Natural Resource Economics
» Recommended background: MS degree from accredited university or college

How do I apply?
All applications must be submitted online. The online application will allow you to self-report the following supplemental materials: transcripts, test scores (GRE and TOFEL or IELTS), Statement of Purpose and a notification to three references who will be requested to submit recommendations online. Official transcripts and scores must be received by graduate admissions before you can be admitted to the program.
The Institutional code for the aforementioned exam scores is 1843 and the departmental code is 0101.
Required Application Materials
- Completed online Graduate Application for Admission
- $60 non-refundable application fee
- Official transcript from each college or university attended
- Official GRE scores (GMAT for Dual MS/MBA applicants)
- Official TOEFL or IELTS scores if native language is not English
- Three (3) graduate rating forms

Dual MS/MBA Program Additional Materials
- Completed MBA application. Our department uses the documents from the MBA application to evaluate applicants for the MS portion of the program; including transcripts, GMAT scores, TOEFL or IELTS scores and recommendations.
MBA applications are accepted for fall semester only. Dual applicants must comply with and be accepted by Graduate Admissions for the Master of Business Administration and the Master of Science in Agricultural & Resource Economics. Admitted Dual program students will be assigned an adviser from each college.
Natural Resources PhD
(Concentration: Natural Resource Economics)
- Completed Graduate Application for Admission.
***NOTE*** The Natural Resource Economics concentration is listed administratively on the application form in the department of Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries.
