Tax Seminars
Each year the University of Tennessee Extension, in cooperation with the Internal Revenue Service and the Tennessee Farm Bureau, sponsors tax seminars at various locations throughout Tennessee. The instruction is directed toward tax professionals who prepare and file tax returns for farm and non-farm businesses, and individuals.
Resource Material you will receive:
- 2008 National Income Tax Workbook, a production of the Land Grant University Tax Education Foundation, Inc. (The Tax Workbook and CD will be hand delivered at the seminar)
- The searchable CD covers the 2008, 2007 and 2006 National Income Tax Workbook
- 2009 RIA Federal Tax Handbook to be mailed following the seminars
Continuing Education Credits
Subject to requirements and restrictions of Treasury Department Circular No. 230, Section 10.6(g), this seminar qualifies for eight (8) hours of continuing professional education units for enrolled agents. In addition, this seminar has received approval for eight (8) hours of CPE credits from the Tennessee State Board of Accountancy.
General Information
The Registration Fee for the 2008 Federal Income Tax Seminars will be $134.00. The registration fee includes valuable resource materials, buffet lunch and refreshment breaks. To assure the availability of materials and space, we are requiring that registration be completed in advance with full payment of the registration fee. Registration will be taken on a first-come first-served basis. We will only accept registrations equal to the seating capacity at each location.
Registration letters will be mailed out towards the end of August with registration opening up the first of September. I have included the seminar dates below for the 2008 Tax Seminar season. Please mark your calendars. Once registration has opened up the first of September, you will be able to print off a registration form from this website.
